Damco appoints new Head of Supply Chain Development in North Asia

June 2010 – Damco, the combined brand of the A.P. Moller - Maersk logistics activities, is pleased to announce the hiring of Michael Ma as the new Head of Supply Chain Development for the North Asia region.

Michael is Chinese and has most recently served as Supply Chain Management Practice Leader for IBM Global Business Services in Hong Kong. He has created his career in different roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, HSBC Group, DHL and United Parcel Services Ltd. for more than 15 years. In the role as Supply Chain Management Practice Leader for IBM Global Business Services he was responsible for
• leading a team of process improvement consultants based in Hong Kong
• developing new consultancy in various areas of business performance improvement and operations management
• establishing long-term client relationship with key accounts in distribution industries, and project managing consultancy assignments

Michael Ma holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science from Portland State University in Oregon, USA. He is 49 years old and married.
