29th November 2011: Damco, one of the world’s leading providers of freight forwarding and supply chain management solutions – has appointed Mr. Alexander Drozdov as the new Russia CEO with effect from 1 February 2012. Alexander Drozdov comes from the position as CEO North East Europe Region in Agility located in St. Petersburg, Russia.
In Damco Alexander Drozdov will be part of the European Leadership Team, and report to the Europe CEO. His role will be to lead the company’s growth in Russia. The current Damco Russia CEO, Mr. Albert Abdulin, will from 1 February 2012 take up the position as Russia CCO.
Mr. Alexander Drozdov is a Russian national. His expertise in project cargo, overland, customs brokerage and ocean freight will fit very well into the Damco portfolio. He comes with an MBA in International Management and with a degree as Technical Engineer within Rocket Science at Baltic State Mechanical University in St. Petersburg.
