We take pride in our employees who actively participate in our volunteer disaster relief efforts. They contribute their professional expertise with boundless energy and passionate commitment.
Damco’s partnership with the United Nations Logistics Cluster’s Logistics Emergency Teams (LET), led by the World Food Programme, allows our employees to be deployed directly to set up supply chains in the field when a major humanitarian disaster strikes. Together with other business units of A.P. Moller-Maersk, our pro bono deployment of highly trained experts join the Logistics Emergency Teams’ partners Agility, TNT and UPS, when requested by the UN Logistics Cluster.
Damco staff also helps by contributing to logistics capacity reports to help humanitarians prepare before a disaster strikes.
In addition to their professional contributions, our colleagues proactively organise donations, and the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group facilitates employee donations through an arrangement with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, which collects and distributes contributions. When participating in the Logistics Emergency Teams, the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group matches employee donations through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent.
